Married : Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler | Laramie, Wyoming Wedding Photographer

This wedding took place at a prison. When I first heard about that detail of this wedding, I was a little concerned. After looking up what the Wyoming Territorial Prison actually was, my concerns were laid to rest. This is one of the most gorgeous venues with a rich history to Wyoming! Now a museum, this land is home to one of the oldest buildings in Wyoming. The main building, which can be seen in the background of one of the photos, was built in 1872 and was used as a prison until 1903. The majority of our photos were taken in front of the stockade, which surrounds the backside of that building.

Being in Wyoming, the weather was definitely unpredictable and quite the challenge. We pushed through wind earlier in the day and contended with a rain storm which sent the ceremony inside at the very last minute. Sagan and James didn’t seem to mind. They were simply excited to be getting married, spending their day with each other and with all their family and friends.

Let’s talk about this wedding party for a minute. Sagan and James decided to include whoever they wanted on their own sides, something I think is the greatest idea. I love the way this looked in photos, especially with the mismatched dresses and bowties. The baby’s breathe bouquets brought everything together flawlessly!

This wedding is definitely one of my favorites! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler!
