My husband and I moved back to the midwest a few years ago in search of a simpler life in a small town, and we found exactly that! I'm based in Onawa, Iowa, which means I'm right in the middle of Omaha, Sioux City, and Sioux Falls! Serving my clients in multiple locations has never been easier!
I’ve made it my goal in my photography to career to cater each couple’s experience to their exact needs. I realize that some couples need a lot of direction; they need to be told exactly where to stand and what to do with their hands. Other couples need hardly any coaching and fall right into comfortably moving through poses on their own. I take the time to pay attention and gauge what a couple needs so their experience with me produces photos that look natural and easy! #modelstatus! No matter how comfortable you might be in front of the camera, I’ve got you covered!
I’ve shot over 200 weddings in the course of 10 years and I’ve been published in Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine, both in print and online. My work has been featured in Wyoming Weddings Magazine, Borrowed & Blue, and Modern Weddings. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in Photography from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I'd love work with YOU!

A Little Snippet Of My Life
We've been married since 2015 and we're just having loads of fun! We met in a bible study on Valentine's Day (awwww) and we got married about two years later!
He's my biggest cheerleader and support! I love being married! <3

Born in September of 2022, my little guy JJ (stands for Josiah James) is my sidekick! I absolutely LOVE being his mama and spending all my days with him! I'm so fortunate to be able to run my business and stay home with my baby all day.

Sometimes a pain the butt, mostly a lot of fun! I've had Howard since 2014 and he's lived in 3 states with me! The name Howard came because I thought he looked a little like Howie Mandel, but "Howard" felt more dignified.

Nala's our spunky little naughty shih tzu. She barks at everything, is always cold, and loves toys. She hates walks and eating, but is always down for a cuddle session! She's also not too fond of most people!

Most people with curly hair don't love their locks, but I definitely do! It can be a lot of work, but it's worth it! Fun fact, my hair was as straight as can be as a child. In the 5th grade, I got a perm (like we all did in middle school!) Shortly after, I got my hair cut really short. It grew back curly!

Right now I live in a big house built in 1920 in a small town in Iowa. This is literally my dream. My wood floors creak and squeak, I know all my neighbors, and I can walk just about anywhere I need to go. Small town life was made for me!
Fun fact, Onawa has the widest main street in the United States! And the Eskimo Pie was invented here!

My husband and I couldn’t have choose a better photographer for our wedding than Emily. We knew from the moment we met her that she’d be professional, yet knew how to make you laugh and enjoy the whole process. I could not have asked for a better photographer! Emily does such a great job with everything. From capturing the perfect moments, to organizing group pictures, she manages to do it all with ease. My family could not stop talking about how great of a job she does. We were all so comfortable with her that we sometimes forgot she was our photographer and not one of our friends! She not only kept us on schedule for the day, but made sure we got all of the pictures that we wanted. It was so nice to not have to worry about moments that could be missed on our big day.
