1868 Farmhouse Wedding >> Elizabeth and David could not have asked for a better day in March! While I know they were dreaming of a winter wonderland with lots of snow, and warmer spring day so early in the year was also welcome! I think my favorite part about their day is just how close-knit their families feel! You can tell everyone really cares so deeply for one-another, and I absolutely love that!
The 1868 Farmhouse in Boone, Iowa was the perfect backdrop as they got ready and celebrated later in the evening! I showed up just as Elizabeth and her girls were finishing up their hair and makeup. When I first saw her dress, I knew it was going to be a good day! With the removable skirt, she essentially got two different looks! I love when a bride can do that! She got into her dress with the help of her mom, and I don’t know what it was about this day, but I found myself tearing up more than normal! Also, how ADORABLE are her twin nieces and her little nephew? I couldn’t get over how sweet that were!
And now, on to my favorite moment! When David saw Elizabeth for the first time, man oh man was that special! I LOVED his reaction! He was absolutely in awe and you could just see the love in his eyes for her! It was such a special moment! The two of them exchanged gifts with each other, where David had reset Elizabeth’s grandmother’s diamond into a necklace for her, and she got him binoculars and a compass. Not only that, but they both typed letters to one another on a typewriter! These are my kind of people!
Seeing all their friends and family together for the first time was so fun! Taking all their family portraits and wedding party photos just felt so easy and smooth! I loved my time with them!
Their ceremony in Ames was perfect for them, as was their time on campus for taking more portraits afterward. I loved every moment about this day and I’m so excited to share it with all of you!
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Burnette on a beautiful wedding!
