Wedgewood Black Forest Wedding >> I always love weekday weddings. Weekends are always fun, but there’s something so special about taking a regular weekday, and making it extraordinary! That’s exactly what Alexis and Austin did with a Monday in August!
Colorado Springs is where family and friends gathered to watch these two start their lives as a married couple. I met up with Alexis and her ladies at the hotel where they were getting ready. It was such a fun atmosphere, as they did each other’s hair and helped with makeup. Before long, we were headed off to the venue, Wedgewood Black Forest. Alexis’s mom and sister helped her into her dress, and the first look with the bridesmaids was so fun!
Meanwhile, across the hall, Austin and his guys were hanging out and getting ready. Evan, Austin’s best man, helped him get his jacket on and they were ready for portraits!
Outside, we had a great time enjoying the nice weather and taking some pictures. It was such a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere! The guys went first, and even though I made them throw Austin in the air, everyone got through it safely! The ladies had an equally fun time, though I didn’t make them throw Alexis in the air!
Most of my couples lately have been choosing first looks, but I always love the occasional wedding where the groom sees the bride for the first time as she’s walking down the aisle. It was such a special and beautiful moment!
After their ceremony and few portraits, they entered their ceremony and danced the night away!
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Knoll!
