Eva and Chris’ backyard wedding was everything you’d want an intimate wedding to be. From the handmade details (done almost entirely by Eva herself) to the pergola built specifically for this occasion, everything fit together perfectly to make the day absolutely gorgeous. The locket Eva wore that day was her grandmother’s, still containing the original photo of her aunt and father. The sword, which the couple used to cut the cake, has been passed down in the groom’s family for many generations and has been used to cut cakes at many family weddings. All the guests were included as a part of the ceremony, when they were allowed to stand and say anything they liked about or to the couple. Poems were read and sweet words were spoken from close family and friends. The evening wound down around the fire with smore’s as the couple recapped their perfect day.
I could not have asked for a better way to spend my Saturday and I’m so excited to be sharing this wedding! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Cook!
