Vanessa and Tyler are one of those unique couples who plan a destination wedding within driving distance of their hometown. This allowed them to have their absolute dream wedding, while still being able to invite all the important people in their lives. Keystone was the perfect setting for this couple. As much as they love snowboarding and being in the mountains, a snowy, winter wedding at a ski resort made total sense! Everything was in such close proximity, it was so easy to get around and make everything work. Keystone Lodge and Spa was a beautiful place for the bride and her girls to get their hair and makeup done that morning. The groom’s condo was just across the street, allowing easy access to get photos of them as well!
Vanessa’s mom helped her into her dress in her own condo, which was just a minute’s walk away from Warren Station, the venue where the ceremony and reception both took place. The bride had her first look with not only her dad, but also with her groom on the bridge leading from her mom’s condo to the venue itself. The Warren Station staff was a phenomenal help in orchestrating everything, not only giving us access to the venue early in the day, but also in keeping those passing by from walking into the middle of the first look.
Vanessa’s dress, which she got at the Bridal Isle in Loomis, Nebraska fit her perfectly and looked amazing with her fur cover. She was the vision and dream of a winter bride! The couple, along with myself and the videographer, Sam Mallory, headed up to Sapphire Point just outside of Dillon to take photos and to allow the couple some private time to say their vows to one another. It was a beautiful and such a special moment for these two. I would do this wedding over and over again a thousand times, even though I got sicker and sicker as the day went on and eventually ended up with full blown influenza. This wedding was gorgeous and definitely worth every minute!
