I met up with Brandy and Jake at their farm one evening last week. I was immediately greeted by their sweet pup, Ace. He followed us everywhere and wanted to be in all the pictures! He wasn’t the only animal I met that day! Brandy and Jake also have horses, cats, and peacocks!!
This farm, and really everything about their session, holds so much sentimental value. To begin with, this land has been in their family for quite a while. The house that stands here is built with stones, which were originally found on the property. I think that’s so incredibly cool! The session only got better from there.
Jake works as a masonry, a business which has been in the family since the 40’s. We were able to take photos on the old flatbed truck, which is branded with the company logo on the door. Jake made sure the truck was fully stocked with bricks, which was a really great touch!
We were also able to take photos with Jake’s dad’s old truck. This vehicle is extremely sentimental and it was so neat we were able to use it! The shiny, perfect paint job made for the best reflective surface for Brandy’s ring!
This spot doesn’t only hold memories of the past, but also has the perfect spot in the couple’s future. Brandy and Jake are getting married this August and their reception will be held at their farm. A recently constructed building will be the perfect centerpiece for their country reception! I’m so excited for this wedding, I can hardly wait!
