Cannon Beach Elopement Photographer >> Emily Kowalski Photography – I had such an incredible opportunity to second shoot a wedding in Cannon Beach, Oregon! My best friend, Deana Coufal of Deana Johnson Photography was hired to shoot Taylor and Brad’s wedding. She took me with! We flew out to Portland, spent a couple of days there, then headed out to the coast. It was such a beautiful time and I absolutely love Cannon Beach! Deana and I had the chance to explore the town, Ecola State Park, and the beach the day before. It was so fun to base our trip around Ben Rector’s song “Green.” It made the whole experience even better! We saw a lighthouse, the Octopus Tree, and toured the Tillamook factory. Seriously the best trip! I loved every minute and felt so at peace.
The evening before the wedding day, Deana and I met up for dinner with the Taylor and Brad as well as their two friends who would be acting as officiant and witness for the wedding day. It was so nice to meet up with everyone who would be involved in the wedding the day before it would actually happen. I think it helped to calm everyone’s nerves.
The next morning we went to Taylor’s condo where she was getting ready with hair and makeup. She wrote her vows and got dressed as she readied herself to see her groom. From there, we headed over to Brad’s cabin where he and Shawn, the officiant, were preparing for the day as well. As soon as he was ready, we headed to the beach. They were both so excited to see one-another! They said “I do” on a grassy hill overlooking the beach. We then walked down to the water, hiked through the state park, and ended their wedding day with a bonfire in the sand. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and I can’t wait to go back!
