Esterbrook, Wyoming Wedding Photographer >> I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a cuter church! The Esterbrook Community Church near Douglas, Wyoming is the sweetest little chapel, overlooking Laramie Peak in the background. It was built in 1946 and has a picture window behind the alter, overlooking the meadow and the mountain behind. It might be the most picturesque place to get married!
Kayla and Ryan love Esterbook. Ryan’s family has had a cabin there for generations (in fact, the reception was held at their family cabin) and it’s a quiet little community to escape to. On the 4th of July, Kayla and Ryan got married in the little church with their friends and family surrounding them. It was such a fun day!
We started of with the craziest fog I’ve ever seen. We couldn’t see Laramie peak, and coming into Esterbook, I actually completely missed the church on the side of the road. The fog cleared, giving way to sunny skies throughout the day. Once evening hit and guests were enjoying the outdoor reception, rain hit. And a lot of it all at once. Everyone was ducking and hiding under tents and umbrellas! It cleared shortly and we were able to move on with the reception, but rain on a wedding day is always a little bit stressful!
Their reception consisted of the best bbq I’ve ever had, along with lawn games and pie. It was the perfect way to spend 4th of July, and such a fun party! Kayla and Ryan had their first dance in the lawn in front of the miner’s cabin on the family property. It’s so fun to get to shoot something a little different every now and then! A full outdoor ceremony (with a tent, of course!) might be my new favorite thing!
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Taylor!
