Iowa Engagement Photographer | Maureen and Shawn are just the sweetest! I spent some time with them on Saturday evening to capture their engagement session and it was so good to get to know them more! It made me really excited for their wedding later this year!
I know this might sound odd, but this is the first year I’ve had the chance to photograph a session with blooming trees! In the past, my calendar has just never lined up and I’ve always missed out! When I saw these trees on my regular daily walk, it finally occurred to me that I should see if I could use them! I contacted the homeowner (thanks, small town!) and made it happen for Maureen and Shawn! I think I may have been more excited about the trees than they were!!
After leaving the trees in Onawa, we headed up to Preparation Canyon State Park where we did the rest of our session. We had perfect weather as we explored a couple of trails in the park before heading to the next location. Our time at the overlook was just as great! We experienced a bit of rain for about 5 minutes, but other than that, it was perfect! We wished we had a prettier sunset, but that didn’t really matter. Maureen and Shawn made my job so easy and I’m really excited to be giving them some great photos! Their wedding in Omaha this fall is definitely one I’m looking forward to!
