Blue Tin Ranch, my goodness! I was absolutely blown away when I visited Siouxland’s newest wedding venue! Event though the indoor spaces aren’t quite yet complete, I could clearly see the vision and where this gorgeous venue is headed!
For the couple who wants their wedding to fee like a backyard party, Blue Tin Ranch is the one! In talking with Kelley, one of the owners, she told me that ultimately they want their couples to feel like they’re in their own backyard. Even for the short time I was on the property, the Jorgensens made me feel so welcome and comfortable, it felt like home.
The reception barn is the first thing you see when pulling up the drive. With plenty of space inside for all your guests, you can have parties both big and small! Above the reception barn is the groom’s loft. This is soon to be fitted with comfortable couches and things to entertain the guys throughout the morning!
The main barn, built in 1909, remains as the centerpiece of the ranch. Originally in a different location, the barn was moved to it’s current home in 2008 as the Jorgensens saved it from being burned. While it’s called the ceremony barn, couples have the freedom do to what they want with the property. Ceremonies and receptions can be inside or out, with any combination!
I think my favorite part of Blue Tin Ranch is the corn crib. It’s been converted to be a fantastic hangout space, and I honestly think I could spend all my time there! The swings are so comfortable and I can just imagine myself roasting smores on a summer night!
The bridal suite is perfect for a bride to get ready! A cool, comfortable place to hang out, they’ve installed salon-style chairs to make hair and makeup a breeze! The kitchen is perfect for your morning brunch and your bridesmaids have plenty of room to spread out!
The grounds around Blue Tin Ranch are just as gorgeous as their indoor spaces and so versatile! The north side of the property provides a walkway through a little clump of trees, giving a forest feel to photos. The south and west sides, with views of blue skies as far as the eye can see, make way for the prettiest sunsets. Overall, Blue tin Ranch is a little gem in South Dakota! Definitely a must-see!
