White Barn Missouri Wedding >> Thyra and Danny were the first of my rescheduled COVID weddings to take place. Originally having planned for April 4, they were forced to move their date to July 4. It was so sweet to see all their family coming together, 3 months later, to make their day happen as normal.

Getting Ready

Thyra got ready at Danny’s aunt and uncle’s home, which is also where the ceremony took place. She had her hair and makeup done, then spent some time with her mom helping her into her dress. It was such a quiet and peaceful time before all the craziness of a wedding day happened! Soon, people started showing up, including Danny. Their first look was so sweet! Danny was so excited to see Thyra and I just loved his reaction!

The Ceremony

Their ceremony took place under an arbor which Danny had built. Even that morning he was out there with a chainsaw working to stabilize it right before putting his tux on! Being in sun like we were, it definitely felt like the 4th of July! Thyra, Danny, and their children took part in a sand ceremony to symbolize them coming together as a family. It was so sweet to see the kids involved too!

As soon as the ceremony was over, everyone rushed to the house to get into some cool air. The majority of the guests, including Thyra, changed into more comfortable clothes for the reception.

Reception

Soon we headed over to the White Barn for their reception. The space was decorated with long, farmhouse style tables adorned with gold candle sticks and copper silverware. Their sweetheart table showed off a vintage velvet green couch below a chalkboard. The room was just so pretty look at!

Thyra and Danny wrapped up their evening surrounded by those that they love. I’m happy I got to be a part of their day and I wish them all the best!
