I cannot get over how fun and perfect Lexi and Joe’s wedding at Estes Park wedding venue, YMCA of the Rockies, was! I started off my time with them just as they were arriving at Overlook Chapel to prepare for the ceremony. With clouds in the sky, we thought rain might come, but were hoping it would hold back. Lexi sat in the car, hidden away from Joe until the ceremony. That moment when he finally did see her walking down the aisle was just beautiful! I could see the expression on his face change just a little, and I knew he was so excited to see his bride!
During their ceremony, it did start to rain just a little, and it kept on just spitting throughout the ceremony and into some of the portraits. It definitely wasn’t enough rain to stop us, and it was almost refreshing since the sun was out at the same time. I learned that when it’s raining and sunny at the same time, it’s called pineapple rain. That’s something I didn’t know!
After the ceremony, we hung out at Overlook chapel for a bit, taking photos with family, the bridal party, and then some of just Lexi and Joe. It was just a beautiful time with a great group of people!
These two hopped in my car with me and we headed in to Rocky Mountain National Park, where the views were perfect. Seriously the clouds could not have cooperated better than they did that afternoon! We laughed, danced, and played around in the park before these two headed to an intimate dinner with their families.
I’m so honored and thrilled every time a couple chooses me as their wedding photographer, and this time was no exception! I’m so excited I got to be part of such a beautiful day!
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Harshbarger!
