Sioux City Newborn Photographer >> The longer I’ve been a photographer, the more I love in-home newborn sessions. The challenge of finding and using the right light to make gorgeous images is so appealing to me! It’s crazy how useful natural light can be, no matter the space!
That was totally true for Molly and Andrew’s session with their newest family member, Miles. You would not believe the absolute blizzard that was happening outside their home! I thought I might not make it across town to get to their house! But I’m so glad I got to capture yet another part of this couple’s family story!
I did a couples’ session for Molly and Andrew back when they were dating and when I was just starting out in photography. I needed experience and they were willing! Then, after they got engaged, I did engagement photos for them. I photographed their wedding, and since then, I’ve photographed family photos for their extended family. Even though I’ve photographed them so many times, I was friends with Molly first.
Molly and I met in high school back when we went church camp together. We ended up at the same college eventually and were in the same program. We ate lunches together and complained about professors. All those days of tuna and crackers in the student union! Fast forward, she was in my wedding and I was so happy to photograph hers! I just love that I still get to be the one to document all their important memories!
Little baby Miles is so sweet and I wish I would have gotten a chance to snuggle him while I was there. Unfortunately with COVID, I didn’t even get to touch him, but I loved on him from afar! I’m just so happy for my friend and I love watching my past clients start their own families!
