Bash Events Des Moines >> Ahhh! This wedding! While normally I’m all about being in rural towns and in the country, occasionally I just love a downtown, city-vibe wedding! Honestly I might not even be cool enough to hang out with Dana and Jess, so I’m thrilled I got to be their photographer! Their families, including their daughter Sidney, are just so great to be around and I loved getting to spend the day with all of them!
I started off my morning at the AC Hotel by Marriott in East Village where the couple and their parties were getting ready. Dana was just finishing up her hair as I arrived and her makeup was already finished. She looked FLAWLESS! The ladies spent their morning watching wedding episodes of popular tv shows and hanging out as they got ready. Sidney arrived later in the morning and goodness, she’s just too stinkin’ cute!
We did their first look just outside the hotel and explored some areas nearby before heading to Bash, their venue. We took some photos in that area as well, where the bridal party and then family joined us.
The ceremony was beautifully done by Jess’s brother. The reception was full of laughter, some spontaneous karaoke, and lots of dancing! We slipped away from the party around sunset to grab some photos up on the roof, and it was just such a sweet time with some gorgeous golden light!
