Backyard Summer Wedding >> You never know what you’re going to get with a September wedding, but Libby and Blake ended up with a perfect day! Though we fought a little bit of heat and humidity, none of that really mattered. These two were so happy to be spending their day with the friends and family. And I was THRILLED to be able to capture it all for them!
It’s not very often that you hear of someone having a destination wedding in the middle of rural Nebraska, but that’s just what these two did! They borrowed her cousin’s backyard in Kearney, which was a gorgeous property that backed up to the canal. They set up some chairs in the shade and tent and they were good to go!
I just need to take a minute first to talk about Newt, the couple’s dog. He was part of the wedding party, and I think he stole the show! His little tuxedo was perfect for him and he did so great being surrounded by people!
Libby and Blake’s first look was sweet and perfect. Excited and emotional. Portraits of the two of them were so fun, and then all of the sudden, it was time to get married! Their ceremony was exactly them! We took some family pictures and wedding party photos, then it was time to party!
I love tent receptions. There’s just something about them that makes it so fun! Being outside late in to the evening feels so romantic and special. We snuck away for some sunset portraits at Cottonmill before dancing the night away!
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Landid on a gorgeous wedding!
