Cori and Cody’s engagement session is the kind of session I could should over and over again. I’m obsessed with snow and I love winter, so this was such a treat for me! I met up with them at their family cabin just outside of Grand Lake. Cori had perfectly coordinated their outfits and they popped against the snow! Not only that, but they seemed to be perfectly dressed for winter photos!
These two have known each other since they were sophomores in high school. I think that’s just so fun! I love when a couple has such a history and it almost feels like they grew up together. They were friends for a long time, then officially started dating 4 years ago. It just seems so right that they’re together!
We took some photos around the cabin, utilizing the snow covered road, the patio with the fire, and two super cute mugs Cori had. I saw that as the perfect opportunity for a ring shot, and I love the way it turned out! The fire in the background with the mugs just makes it feel so cozy!
Shortly after, we headed into town and to the dock where we walked out on the lake. We definitely got a different view, with the mountains in the background one way and Grand Lake in the background the other! With the fresh powder from the night before, everything felt so white and clean. We used a boardwalk as well as the side of a building just to add some nice variety to their images. Cori and Cody were up for anything and were such a breeze to work with! I so enjoyed my time with them as well as my weekend in Grand Lake! I can’t wait for their wedding next year!
