Omaha Engagement Session | Katie and Ben are just one of those couples who radiate love. I think that really obvious in these photos! We met up at Platte River State Park in between Omaha and Lincoln for their engagement session. The weather, the light, everything was absolutely a dream! After not being able to shoot for a couple of months due to COVID, it was seriously like a breath of fresh air working with them! We spent some time exploring around the river and checking out the area around some cabins before catching a gorgeous sunset!
These two are just so easy to work with! They’re fun to be around, they interact so well together, and I just love their story! Ben actually made Katie the ring she’s wearing. Isn’t that AMAZING? He does have a flashy engagement ring ordered and ready to go. Unfortunately, due to COVID, he hasn’t been able to physically get it! It’s locked away in a safe somewhere that’s currently closed! He decided to go ahead and make her a ring so he could finally propose and they could start planning their wedding. Katie still has no idea what what the ring he purchased looks like, and since purchasing it, Ben has forgotten what it looks like as well! I guess we’re all going to be surprised!
Because of COVID, weddings and events have restrictions on the amount of people allowed to gather. As of now, they’re planning to get married in July. They’ve decided that no matter the restrictions on the amount of people, they will be getting married that day. If they have to have their reception later, they will, but I just love their perseverance and their desire to be married! It’s such a beautiful thing to witness!
